Provides individualized support to help people prepare for, find, and keep meaningful employment. WIOA services can include job search assistance, skills training, and support with educational costs. The program is designed to serve adults, dislocated workers and youths.
Local offices provide individualized job search assistance including job-seeking skills workshops (virtually, online, and in-person), career coaching, and resources to support employment and connection to educational opportunities. Supportive services for employment may be available, to those who qualify, including, but not limited to transportation, work clothing, licensing, tools, or verification needed for identity.
Members of the United States (U.S.) Military, Veterans, and their spouses receive priority of service with employment and training assistance, services, and resources. The ACE program provides an avenue for eligible Utah Veterans, actively drilling members of the Guard and Reserve, and their respective spouses, to gain employment in the civilian job market by capitalizing on their past experience, training, and knowledge; or by assisting them with short-term training that leads to a certificate or a license.
