Description:

Provides a directory of needle exchange programs that offer sterile needles and syringes and the safe disposal of used needles and syringes. In addition, the programs provide referrals to substance use disorder treatment, vaccination, testing, and linkage to care and treatment for infectious diseases.

Description:

A state government agency that helps prevent sickness and death from infectious diseases and environmental hazards. It also monitors diseases and reduces their spread and is responsible for monitoring and responding to potential bioterrorism threats/events, infectious disease outbreaks, epidemics, and other unusual occurrences of illness. Provides updated information on outbreaks through the DREAM program: Disease Response, Evaluation, Analysis, and Monitoring. Also provides information and resources on STD prevention.
