Assist

Provides emergency home repairs such as pest control and removal services to low-income households or persons with disabilities. Also provides accessibility information to nonprofit and community groups. Can provide assessment and design services throughout the state of Utah.

Home Maintenance and Minor Repair Services
Description:

Program offers repair services to qualified households for life safety or critical/emergency home repair problems. Repairs include plumbing, heating, electrical hazards, roofing, broken windows or doors, and pest control. Repairs and modifications are permanent. Cannot assist with structural repairs, painting, cooling systems, equipment such as temporary ramps, landscaping, or water damage.

Eligibility:
Designed for senior citizens and low income home owners in the following cities: Salt Lake, Murray, Midvale, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, Taylorsville, West Jordan, South Jordan*, Herriman, Riverton, and Draper. Household income must be less than 80% of the area median income.
*South Jordan funding can be less consistent and available.

Office: M - F 8 am - 5 pm; Assessments: M - F 8 - 9 am & 1 - 2 pm

Description:

Program offers pest control services.

Eligibility:

Description:

Can perform an assessment to suggest possible safety modifications so that existing infirmities do not become future disabilities. Provides information on emergency home repairs and accessibility design assistance to low-income households or persons with disabilities. Also provides architectural design, community planning, and development assistance to nonprofit and community groups.

Eligibility:
Open to anyone who owns their home, regardless of income, as well as community organizations who want to receive an accessibility evaluation.
Service Hours:
M - F 8 am - 5 pm
