Bear River Regional Housing Authority - Logan

The housing authority for Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties that provides rent subsidies to low-income individuals and families through the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program. Also maintains Section 8/rental assistance program rental listings.

Housing Authorities
Description:

Administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly known as Section 8. Provides monthly long-term rental assistance to eligible households. The Housing Authority does not own any housing. Clients must locate their own approved housing.

Eligibility:
Client must have proof of address to apply. A household cannot earn more than 50% of the area's median income, as published by HUD. Clients must pay at least 30% of their gross adjusted income, but no more than 40% of their gross adjusted income, towards rent. Contract rent for the housing unit must be reasonable. The desired housing unit must pass a housing inspection. Current wait list time is 8-18 months.

A hard copy application must be completed and submitted in person. Applicant must also schedule an intake appointment. Visit the website, walk in, or call for more information.

Description:

Maintains a housing and landlord referral list for use by the general public to aide in searches for housing. The Housing Authority does not own any housing, clients with a housing voucher must locate their own approved housing.
