Rescue Mission Women's Center

A 14 bed emergency shelter for homeless and low-income women with substance use disorders. Services offered include emergency shelter, transitional housing with addiction recovery counseling and treatment, and access to clothing and hygiene products.

Homeless Shelter
Description:

Privately funded shelter that provides homeless and low-income women and their children access to emergency shelter, food, and other essential services. Clients must apply and be approved. They do not provide overnight only shelter, typically it is a two week guest stay.

Eligibility:
Women and children; girls of any age, boys age 8 or younger. If the client makes over $1,600/month or they have private insurance, they typically won’t qualify.

Transitional Housing/Shelter
Description:

Transitional housing for single adult women that includes a 13-18 month treatment program for addiction recovery.

Eligibility:
Homeless single women, no children.

General Clothing Provision
Description:

Provides clothing for women and children under age ten.

Eligibility:
Low-income women and children under age ten. Available to community members, they don't need to be staying at the shelter.

Substance Use Disorder Counseling
Description:

Provides an addiction recovery and counseling program to women struggling with substance abuse issues who are participants of the transitional housing program.

Eligibility:
Women 18 and over, no children. For the participants of the transitional housing program.
Service Hours:
M - Tu 9 am - 5 pm; W - Su 9 am - 9 pm

Description:

Provides personal grooming and hygiene products for women and children up to age ten.

Eligibility:
Low-income women and their children up to age ten. Open to community members.
