Salt Lake City Mission

Provides services and programs to men, women, and children in the Salt Lake City area to help them overcome cycles of poverty, homelessness, hopelessness, and addictions. Services offered include a food pantry, a general clothing provision (clothing room), a residential substance use disorder treatment facility/program for adult men, a soup kitchen, street outreach programs, a homeless drop-in center, clothing donation programs, and food donation programs.

Description:

Provides hot meals and day bags with sandwiches, protein bars and water to anyone hungry or homeless. Can provide refrigerated food those coming in after hours.

The program provides outreach services to unsheltered people at the Weigand center 8 - 9 am with coffee and donuts. Also, it hosts holiday events throughout the city inviting the hungry and unsheltered.

Accepts nonperishable food item donations used for food box distribution to needy people. Requested donations include canned meats, tuna, beans, jelly, pasta sauce, frozen bread and rolls, meat and whole chicken, cooking spices, condiments, oils, flour, and sugar.
