Indian Training and Education Center

Administers the federally funded Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program that serves Alaskan Natives, Native Americans, and Native Hawaiians. Provides job training and GED high school equivalency test instruction to enhance socio-economic potential.

Description:

Provides funding for occupational skills training, short-term certificate programs, short-term college certificates and degrees, adult basic education (ABE) and English as a second language (ESL) to increase job opportunities and income for American Indians and Hawaiian Natives.

Eligibility:
Must be low-income, show proof of descent, be a Utah resident, and an Indian, Native Hawaiian, or Alaska Natives. Able to complete program within 12 months with the exception of highs school students who may participate all four years of high school and may begin in any grade at any time during the school year.
Service Hours:
M, W 7 am - 5 pm; Tu, Th 7 am - 4:30 pm; F 8 am - 2:30 pm
