Speech and Language Evaluations
Description:

Audiologists administer hearing screening programs in the Salt Lake City School District schools, evaluate students' hearing needs, and make needed medical referrals. Speech language pathologists evaluate students' need for speech therapy.

Special Preschools
Description:

Preschool services for children who are referred, assessed, and have been determined to meet eligibility requirements necessary to receive special education services.

Eligibility:
Students must be ages 3 to 5, eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and live within the school district boundaries. Children without an IEP may also access this program through paying tuition.

Description:

Description:

Description:

Home Based Parenting Education
Description:

Home Visits focus on parent-child interaction, development centered parenting, and family well being. Assists in building strengths, capabilities, skills, and protective factors within the family. PAT serves a range of families - not just first time parents, pregnant parents, or teen parents. Offers services from birth to kindergarten entry.

Eligibility:
Families within school district boundaries with children birth to 5 years old. Families with children 0- 3 years old are most likely to receive services.

Office Hours: M - F 8 am - 5 pm; Home visits scheduled on individual basis
