Mortgage Delinquency and Default Counseling
Description:

Offers counseling services for purchasing a home and foreclosure intervention.

Eligibility:
Must qualify for the TANF program.
Service Hours:
M - W 7:30 am - 6 pm; Th 7:30 am - 5 pm
Intake Procedure:
Call to set up an appointment.
Fees:
Some services are no cost, others require a fee. Homebuyer education class is $45, foreclosure counseling is available at no cost.

Reverse Mortgage Programs
Description:

Offers counseling services for purchasing a home, foreclosure intervention, and mortgage modification. Must meet with a HUD-certified mortgage counselor.

Eligibility:
Must qualify through TANF. Must be 62 or older.
Service Hours:
M - W 7:30 am - 6 pm; Th 7:30 am - 5 pm
Intake Procedure:

Fees:
Document fee of $39 and counseling services are $110.

Rent Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides rent payment help through the TANF program for families with children under 18. Must do an intake, and then once accepted into the program, clients will participate in the Employment Pathways program and may receive rent help two to three weeks after beginning. Priority will be given to those at risk for homelessness or have eviction notices, and who are eligible under the other requirements.

Eligibility:
Families with children under 18. Must qualify through TANF. Must be a U.S. citizen, or eligible to work as a U.S citizen. Must be willing and able to work. Eligibility is based on a review of the current crisis, employment history, housing history, and financial needs, with the determination that the circumstance is a temporary crisis (not to exceed 4 months). Families in short-term crisis must demonstrate a history of housing and employment stability. Must be within 200% of the Federal Poverty Limit. Must open an emergency savings program while in the program.

Utility Service Payment Assistance
Description:

Provides payment assistance for all public utility services through TANF program for families and children under 18. Must do an intake when calling, once accepted, those unemployed will participate in the Employment Pathway Program from the Department of Workforce Services Counselors. Clients may receive up to four payments within a twelve-month period. This service is for clients who are also receiving rent payment assistance.

Families with children under 18. Must qualify through TANF. Must be a U.S. citizen, or eligible to work as a U.S citizen. Must be willing and able to work. Eligibility is based on a review of the current crisis, employment history, housing history, and financial needs, with the determination that the circumstance is a temporary crisis (not to exceed 4 months). Families in short-term crisis must demonstrate a history of housing and employment stability. Must be receiving rent payment assistance to qualify.
