MAG HEAT Program

Provides year round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for low income households in Summit, Utah, and Wasatch Counties. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30.

Description:

Provides year-round energy assistance and energy-related crisis assistance to low-income households in Summit, Utah, and Wasatch Counties. The program runs each year from October 1 through September 30. Limited benefit offered for water and/or cooling payment assistance. Also, it offers a crisis benefit. A crisis is defined as when a household receives a 48-hour shutoff notice or is within 10% of depleting deliverable fuel and faces sudden or unexpected events beyond their control, resulting in the inability to pay household heating costs.

Eligibility:
-Applicant must be the person responsible for the utilities.
-Must have a total household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty level for the month prior to application. (income chart available on the website)
-Must have a lease one person in the household who is as U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen.
Service Hours:
M - Th 8 am - 5 pm; F 9 am - 2 pm
Intake Procedure:
Apply on website or print and mail or email application. Do not submit original documents with the application. Copies only. Call to schedule appointment in person or by phone to apply.
