Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly known as Section 8, provides monthly rental assistance as a long term assistance to eligible households. The Housing Authority does not own any housing. Program participants must locate housing that the Housing Authority approves. For a limited time, those who qualify for rent and utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water payment assistance.
Provides emergency shelter through motel vouchers to families who qualify if funds are available.
Mobility Voucher Program. Mileage reimbursement to rural families working to better their situation, limited to $800 annually.
Medical Voucher Program. Reimburses mileage to medical appointments.
Helps low income individuals and families participate in energy conservation programs (such as sealing old windows) which lessen the impact of utility costs on their household budgets. Can help with furnace repair/replacement.
The HEAT Program provides year round energy assistance and energy related crisis assistance for eligible low income households throughout Utah. The program runs each year between November from April. For a limited time, those who qualify for rent and utility payment assistance, may also qualify for water and/or cooling payment assistance.
