Catholic Community Services of Utah - Salt Lake City (Weigand Center)

Provides a "day only" shelter for people experiencing homelessness offering them a wide range of services and programs. Also partners with other community organizations to increase access to their services. Programs and services offered at the center include hair and nail care, a homeless drop in center, job finding assistance, general clothing provision, assistance with food stamps/SNAP applications, public showers/baths, serving as a court ordered community service site, public showers, private mail services (a mailing address for people who do not have a permanent address), state identification card fee payment assistance, birth certificate fee payment assistance, housing search assistance, and disaster related shelter services (temporary cold weather shelter). Also has Kitchen Academy Program which helps to train clients to become culinary professionals.

A 14 week course to provide clients with hands on kitchen experience to learn baking, grilling, safe food handling, and applicable life and employment skills.
