Eye Care America

A public service program of the American Academy of Ophthalmology providing referrals to eye care through volunteer ophthalmologists (Eye M.D.) to those who qualify. A comprehensive medical eye screening and eye exam and care are provided for anything diagnosed at the initial visit for up to one year at no out of pocket cost for the physician's services.

Description:

Eligibility:
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, 18 years old or older, Not belong to an HMO or a PPO, nor have private insurance nor benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs, not seen by an ophthalmologist in three or more years, and not seen by an EyeCare America volunteer ophthalmologist in the past.
Service Hours:
M - F 9 am - 1 pm
Intake Procedure:

Fees:
No cost for qualified applicants.
