Prevention Programs classes offered to parents and children. Topics include communication, self esteem, stress management, sibling rivalry, cooperation, discipline, anger management, and parenting.
Offers engagement with horses through hands-on activities and experiential learning to develop life skills such as empathy, confidence, and teamwork. Participants will not be riding horses. Has family, teen, and child therapy options available.
Offers therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. Also has therapy groups available for children, teens, adults, and families.
Offers weekly groups and one-time workshops for parents, families, teens, and children. Open to the community.
Emergency care for children at risk of being abused/neglected or those whose parents are experiencing a crisis/emergency. Children can stay for up to 72 hours. Children who are removed from abusive and or neglectful environments stay at the shelter until appropriate placement can be arranged.
Also offers scheduled weekly 2 hour breaks on a temporary basis, usually 6 months of care. Must be scheduled in advance via phone call and may have a waitlist.
Program to teach kids about age-appropriate definition of child abuse, safe vs. unsafe touches, personal space/boundaries, trusted adults, and body safety/ownership. Taught by trained and certified facilitators in Cache and Logan School Districts, as well as upon request to community agencies, groups and individuals.
Parenting home visiting using the ARC Grow curriculum for those who have experienced trauma. Parents as Teachers home visits also available for prenatal to 5.
Emergency hotline for individuals or families in crisis.
