The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) reimburses participating home daycare providers for nutritious meals served to children under 12 and functionally impaired adults. It supports home daycare providers through training, technical assistance, and monitoring. Providers receive training in nutrition and sanitation. They are visited at least 3 times annually (2 visits unannounced) to ensure the meals the provider serves follow USDA guidelines and that the home remains a safe and healthy environment for children.
