UTA Paratransit ADA Program

A curb-to-curb transportation service for people with physical, cognitive, or visual disabilities who are functionally unable to independently use the UTA fixed route bus service either all the time, temporarily, or under certain circumstances.

Description:

A curb-to-curb transportation service for people with physical, cognitive, or visual disabilities who are unable to independently use the UTA fixed bus service either all of the time, temporarily, or under certain circumstances. People who are determined to be eligible Paratransit Service are assigned one of the following eligibility categories: unconditional, temporary, or conditional. Registered Paratransit riders may schedule trips with a pick up or drop off point within three-quarters of a mile boundary of a regular local fixed bus route or light rail station. Passes are available for purchase at various locations in the valley. Under certain circumstances assistance from the vehicle to the first exterior door at the rider's pick up and/or drop off location. Requests for this service need to be made ahead of time.

Eligibility:
Must have a physical, cognitive, or visual disability and complete the evaluation process.
Service Hours:
M - F 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Intake Procedure:
Call to schedule an appointment in person and complete the evaluation process.
Fees:
$4 one way; $8 roundtrip; 10 ride punch card is $40
