Services offered include eviction prevention, landlord/tenant dispute resolution mediation, legal counseling, general benefits assistance, legal representation, elder law, domestic/family violence legal assistance, bankruptcy assistance, and tenant rights information/counseling.

Domestic/Family Violence Legal Services
Description:

Represents clients in obtaining protective orders and other domestic violence legal matters.

Bankruptcy Assistance
Description:

Provides bankruptcy-related legal services filing all necessary paperwork with the court and representing the client at the court hearing.

Eligibility:
Applicant must have a minimum of $20,000 in debt, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S. Household income must be at or below 200% of the current federal poverty level.

Eviction Prevention Legal Assistance
Description:

Provides education on evictions and legal representation/advice if an eviction notice or court papers for eviction have been received.

Landlord/Tenant Dispute Resolution

Legal Counseling
Description:

Provides legal clinics throughout the State of Utah. Virtual clinic is available every Thursday, and an in-person clinic is available every 3rd Thursday of the month from 11 am - 1 pm.

General Benefits Assistance
Description:

Helps clients enroll and appeal denials for public benefits including Financial Assistance (FEP, GA), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability benefits (SSDI), Unemployment compensation, SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, and CHIP (Child Health Insurance Program).

Provides statewide representation in civil (non-criminal) legal matters for low-income households, agricultural workers, and Native Americans. Provides legal representation in some criminal cases for Native American juveniles.
